Dreaming of Whales

I had hoped to be able to expand upon the “Whale Sounds” I’d discovered the last time in the Tank on an inferior cello, but was left with only five minutes as the midnight deadline approached… We had to quit then, so I rushed through a process I’d intended to luxuriate in. Hence, I did not get what I needed for a complete piece. However, I managed to create the seeds for Joe Lukasik to compose this! He took 5-6 samples and manipulated them through a granular synthesis software. The result amazed me, and took the Tank cello sounds to a new and wildly oceanic place.
